I've been researching various artists to help expand ideas for my drawing abilities, I have yet to decide what form of final drawing I wish to create such as object, character or environment so I will explore artists who have worked with all three.

Kuang Hong is a digital Artist who as worked on a lot of character designs, the software he uses is either Photoshop CS3 or Painter and he uses a Wacom Intuos 4 to draw on those programs.

I love his work on the drawing titled Petals, it has a beautiful Japanese style with the use of the cherry blossom petals and drawing the character with Kimono style clothing.
The colouring is another thing I like about the drawing as with the background scenery the colours are pale and washed out, the character however has been coloured in with vibrant lilacs on her Kimono layers and golden yellow skin which stands her out from the scenery.

Shawn Alan Peters has drawn character designs influenced by fantasy fiction.
I love the colour and shading that's been used with this design as it boldly highlights her face and hair while shadowing her cyber like dark armor.
I find her hair interesting as it appears to have a smokey consistency with the vibrant pink hue.
